Are you a Young Carer?
A young carer is someone aged 18 or under who helps look after a relative who has e.g. a disability, illness, mental health condition, or a drug or alcohol problem.
Most young carers look after one of their parents or are primary carer for a brother or sister. They do extra jobs in and around the home, such as cooking, cleaning, or helping someone to get dressed and move around.
If you believe that you , or your child, is possibly a young carer please let us know so that we can offer support. If you have suggestions about how young carers can best be supported in school get in touch too!
